Abstract

Arterial hypertension and its complications can lead to deterioration of the epileptic patient's condition. The epileptogenic threshold is lowered and secondary epileptogenesis is included with time and age. People with epilepsy report dynamics and progression of the disease with advancing age and appearance of comorbid conditions.
This suggests a worsening of electroencephalographic abnormalities synchronously with the recorded high values of arterial pressure. The study of the patient with comorbidity of epilepsy and arterial hypertension creates an opportunity to clarify the occurrence of the interaction and the place of adequate treatment of these diseases.
